Fatal 3-Alarm Fire on Prospect Street in East Orange

EAST ORANGE, NJ - One person was killed and two firefighters injured in a 3-alarm blaze that caused heavy damage to the Villa apartment building at 161 Prospect Street. The fire broke out around 12:30 a.m.,

Fire companies from several nearby towns assisted in battling the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
