3-People Injured in Apartment House Fire on State Street, Perth Amboy

PERTH AMBOY, NJ - Firefighters were dispatched at 7:17 a.m. to a report of a fire at 104 State Street when units arrived they found fire in a first-floor apartment of the three-story residential building.
A hose line was stretched to contain the fire while rescues were made from the building.
Three residents suffered smoke inhalation, two were treated at the scene, a third was transported to an area hospital.
Fire companies from several nearby towns assisted at the scene. the cause of the incident is under investigation.
