3-ALARM FIRE DESTROYS LARGE APARTMENT BUILDING IN ROSELLE

ROSELLE, NJ - Firefighters responded to a report of a building fire at 118 West Second Avenue around 11;15 a.m., when they arrived they found heavy fire coming from a large occupied apartment building, and transmitted a second alarm, as the fire continued to spread on the upper floors of the building a third alarm was transmitted, and the firefighters were ordered to evacuate the building and continued the battle the blaze with master streams from the outside of the structure.

At least 40 people have been displaced by the fire.

No major injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
